I was practising production a few years ago and made this bootleg of 'Mi Pais' (My Country) by Izaline Calister. Recently I saw that Izaline celebrated 25 years in the business. So I wanted to release my Afro House version of 'Mi Pais' to honor her and this song, since I feel very connected to it as well. It's in Papiamentu, so to translate the last line of the track: "On this small island, my father buried my umbilical cord, and that's why I keep coming back ..."
